Summer Haiti Trip 2014 was a great ministry experience for this group.  We enjoyed working with the people of Bercy the first week this included the entire group (20 people) and then the second week for those who stayed we had the privilege of working in Minotrie (12 people).  Thanks to both groups for there hard working digging ditches in Bercy, and the energy everyone displayed while playing with the many kids!  Lives transformed in the Haitian people and the MVCS students.

Sent half of the team home today!!!  They are off and headed to JFK.   It was such an amazing week and the students and all did so great!!!  Thank you to our Lord and savior.   Pray for our next week here that we have such great strength to serve him daily.  All of us are doing great,  big trip planned to Port au prince tomorrow. Lunch and the sights.

WOW!!!  We made with no problems.   It has been great and everyone is doing awesome,   We have no internet connection on the campus that we are staying at.  So updates will be very limited.   all is great and they are working hard.   Serving with such joy and humility.  God is awesome.

REMINDERS

for your donation food items, these need to be packed in your own luggage, please do not bring them here to school.  Also do not pack any liquid type items this includes food items like peanut butter, jelly, dressing,tuna, chicken any item that is similar to liquid or has liquid in your carry on.  If you have big bottles of shampoo, sunscreen, bug spray these also need to be packed in your checked luggage.

We will have your t shirts for you at the airport.  You must change into these to travel in.

Group 1 is the students that will be traveling for two weeks.

The week has been very fruitful!  God Is awesome!  many life's have been transformed.  We had two students recieve Christ and 8 rededicated their life to Christ.  Wow what a blessing and unbelievable experience.   We are on our last day and our hearts are saddened to leave, but very excited for the next step God has for all of us.

We had NO internet all week

HELLO!!!   We made it!!!! team Haiti 2014.  We had a great day of travel, no issues and no delays.  Saturday found the team settling in, unloaded the donations we brought with great excitement from the Haiti kitchen ladies about the mass amounts of foil.  Sunday was a day of church , worshipping along side the Haitians.  In the afternoon we took tours of the ministries and the different properties here at Mission of Hope.   The students had a great time playing on a new playground with the children from the village of  Leveque.

This brings us to today.  This was a hard work day for the students.  It was Hot and physical work that took all of us to come together and get the job done.    We had to move cinder blocks, rhubarb, steel galvanized posts, digging a ditch, and pulling weeds.  The students did amazing and it was a fruitful day.  We have three amazing nights of devotion and learning more about our great amazing God!

All is well, students are doing very well,  Thank you for this blessing of your sons and daughters
And allowing them to travel to Haiti on this trip!    More to come......

Mission of Hope is in need of 500 boxes of Aluminum foil!!!  PLEASE donate.  Bring boxes in to Mrs. Rivas this week.

This is important to the mission for many uses there in Haiti.  They need it for food preparation, to keep flies and mosquitoes away from food, and to use in cooking.  It is very expensive and hard to come by in Haiti.

If you are a student in Mrs. Rivas class extra credit OR extra community service hours can be provided.  Need to bring in at least 5 boxes..

Also if you had volunteered to donate any item mentioned in the meeting.  Coffee pot,blender,aprons,cups,silverware please bring these items in by Friday!!
